The city center, shaped like a champagne cork, is only a small part of its identity. Troyes is a city of art and history. Stroll along its cobbled streets and look up to admire its famous half-timbered houses. Take a break near the quays to watch the Seine flow by, and soak up its history between churches and museums.

Aube, in Champagne

With 8,000 hectares of vineyards and a 220 km Champagne tourist route, Aube is also Champagne! Discover the vineyards of the Côte des Bar, Montgueux and Villenauxe-la-Grande, and meet the winegrowers with the “vignobles & découvertes” label who will open their doors to you.

The Regional Nature Park and the Great Lakes

It was one of the first 5 regional nature parks created in France. A veritable “green lung” for the Aube region, the Forêt d’Orient Regional Nature Park covers 58 communes, 80,000 hectares and three large reservoirs (Lac d’Orient, Lac d’Amance and Lac du Temple). With its well-preserved biodiversity and outdoor activities, this is a place of great wealth!

The art of stained glass

Aube is the home of stained glass. In Troyes, explore the 3,000m² Cité du Vitrail, which houses 6 permanent exhibition halls and educational exhibitions/workshops. It’s also a resource center and a hub for study and research.

Gastronomy

Here, it’s nicknamed ” canaille “, and it’s a warm, sharing gastronomy. The real Andouillette de Troyes is an institution, and don’t miss the local cheeses of Chaource and Champ-sur-Barse or the mushrooms of Cussangy.
As for beverages, the Pays d’Othe produces ciderand apple juice. Beer is brewed from Buchères to Fougères, and whisky is distilled in Buxueil and Soligny.
And champagne? Its golden color and soft, finely sparkling taste are what give it its identity. It’s prestigious, it’s tasty, and in our region, it’s the drink for every occasion.

Nigloland park

A must for families and friends alike. For thrill-seekers, Nigloland is the place to be. For the little ones, there’s plenty to do too!
